This review is based on my experience only....I had a prolapsed bladder, that was extremely uncomfortable & I felt it collapse at end of 2022. I did not want a male doctor and my female physician recommended Dr. Aimee Nguyen. My surgery took place on 4/3/2023 and only hours after surgery, I felt no pain. Today marks my 6 week post op and Dr. Nguyen said I was great. The process was lengthy, but not much you can do. After surgery you will not be able to bend for approximately 7 weeks, but you can walk in moderation. I truly feel that I made the right choice in doctors for this procedure. My bladder prolapsed because I am a very active 67 year old and I lift and push heavy things. But now I have given this up and will ask for help. Don't be afraid and have faith in God and you will be okay. I feel wonderful. Hope I am able to give some hope to those that are hesitant about having this procedure done . More

Dr. Nguyen and her staff are amazing. Before surgery, I was in so much emotional and physical pain. After surgery, I feel amazing. The recovery was fairly easy and short. Having put off doing anything about a Bladder Prolapse diagnosis years ago. Re-occurring UTI’s made it a priority recently. It was suggested I see a Urogynecologist. I did my research, and just like you are, read the reviews for Dr. Aimee Nguyen. I can honestly say through my initial contact with her staff. First visit with her PA-C Tien and subsequent visit with Dr. Nguyen all have been nothing short of kind, caring & professional. Upon my visit and examination by Dr. Nguyen she determined more than a prolapse repair would be necessary. Shall we say after two kiddos, and a hysterectomy. Everything down there was vying for the same location. In my case, surgery was 3 hours and required a one-night hospital stay. It has been 4 weeks post-op now and I am feeling great & healing well. Would I do this surgery again? Consider having this surgery earlier on? Would I have selected Dr. Nguyen as my surgeon? Yes, Yes and Absolutely! Do not wait any longer, you will be in good hands! Bladder prolapse surgery was the best thing I've done! After bearing 5 children (all natural) I had lost a lot of pelvic support. Dr. Nguyen explained everything to my husband and me, and I felt very comfortable with the procedure. Her staff is friendly and kind as well. Go for it! More

I Had 3, 9lb babies in 4 years which drastically changed my body. The time experienced with the North Dallas Urogynecology group was a gift. Dr. Nguyen is an amazing surgeon and I needed it all! At 74 I never thought I'd have a hysterectomy or the need for a bladder sling and rectum repair. One day it was like every thing dropped. Referral by my internist led me to this fabulous surgeon and a staff that couldn't be more caring. I felt special and grateful for this care. It's 4 weeks later and I'm feeling like a new person. I am a nurse and I'm on the road all the time plus on my feet. The inability to control my bladder was affecting my quality of life big time! I came to Dr. Nguyen with a pelvic floor prolapse. After trying a pessary to delay surgery, surgery became the only option- the pessary failed to eliminate the pain. Surgery went great! I am a nervous nellie. I admit it! I was terrified to have a surgery for anterior/posterior repair. Let me tell you - I would do this again in a heart beat. My bladder surgery has been such a success! The pain was very minimal even in the very beginning after my surgery. The repair of my rectal wall has also been a great success. So much easier to go to the bathroom. My mother always told me to get this done while I'm still young (63) because she had the same thing and never did. The staff at the office are very professional. The visit to the TX Health Surgery was also very professional + what an ease to get in + then out. I would highly recommend this surgery to everyone having difficulties. Thank you!! More

Bladder lift on January 2018, 2019. Only pain was when the nurse got me up the first time, but after that NO pain on discomfort. Took meds as directed- rested and after a month all is well. Very pleased with surgery, staff and office staff! Thank you. More

Dr. Nguyen is an excellent doctor. I can't say enough nice things about her and her staff. I had a hysterectomy and bladder lift on January 15th and am doing great. It has been four weeks since surgery and my life has changed for the better. I'm no longer getting up 6-7 times at night to urinate. Also, I am no longer leaking urine before reaching the bathroom. I had a hysterectomy several years ago. Then gravity and age took over and my bladder/rectum started falling. I had looked at getting that fix. I had a partial hysterectomy, bladder lift and rectocele surgery. It's been a month and I am so very glad I had this done. Dr. Nguyen and team took such good care of me! Of course the pain right after surgery was unpleasant but with meds and the outstanding care I received - the pain was manageable. After just a week I was feeling ok and out of bed. I came to Dr. Nguyen after having a previous rectocele repair that failed. I wanted an expert in the field so I could have lasting results. I am a registered nurse and am very pleased with the care and results I have had with the entire staff. After suffering with difficulty having bowel movements I now have a full restored pelvic floor. The recovery is not too bad. I was able to control my pain well and was able to return to work in 2 weeks. Dr. Nguyen really fixed me up - literally! There were several different issues, including one noticed in the colonoscopy - between the bladder issue, the prolapse of the uterus + vagina, the rectal bulge (rectocele) and more, it was all accomplished in one go and I am a new woman! Even as a widow of some years, there is always the possibility that one day I will meet someone and want to get married - with all this stated out, I know this part of my body is in great working order for an intimate relationship, and am so encouraged on that score. That one operation means comfort, function (being able to walk, urinate, defecate comfortably, without strain) for the present, but also hope for the future. I received a hysterectomy with a vaginal lift, bladder sling and rectal repair due to a prolapsed uterus. Dr. Nguyen and her staff were very thorough in educating me on what was needed and why. They were also wonderfully conservative in their approach. I suffered from anemia, so Dr. Nguyen was very cautious in making sure my iron levels were where they needed to be to ensure a safe and successful surgery. I am only 46, so I was a bit scared to go through such a life-changing surgery, but the staff was very supportive and thorough. Dr. Nguyen is a perfectionist which is exactly what you want when it comes to your body. She did a wonderful job. I feel great at 4 weeks post-op. I am so thankful I took a leap of faith and called Dr. Nguyen's office. Bladder issues are embarrassing and can cause shame. That is the point where I was living. My exam discovered uterine prolapse that my precious regular gynecologist had not discovered. I had other damage from this prolapse as well. I loved my experience with Dr. Nguyen. That may seem a strange thing to say but I was so nervous and upset before having the bladder sling and rectocele repair. The Dr. and her staff were really nice and calm and accommodating with appointments and everything else. I am glad it's over and I can get back to living normally once again. More

Excellent experience. I was tired of the pessary but without it my bladder was protruding. Surgery went well with very little pain afterwards. I had 1 dose of narcotic in the hospital at night and never filled my prescription for home. Ibuprofen was all I needed for about 3 days, then no other pain relief. After about 1 week, it was as if I hadn't had surgery! The surgery center was wonderful too. Check in was fast and easy, not crowed. Nurses were very quick to respond every time. Post-op (at home) instructions were clear and effective. I will recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone and everyone needing a hysterectomy or similar surgery. More

Mother of 3 having leakage! - I was referred over to Dr. Nguyen for having some incontinence/prolapse. After reviewing her credentials and hearing so many great things about her, I scheduled an appointment to see her. It took about a month to get in, because she specializes in prolapse and incontinence, so it didn't bother me, knowing she knows her stuff! Staff was great and helpful, the whole process was good, after seeing Dr. Nguyen I decided to proceed with surgery, also I had some issues with my labia being enlarged. She made me feel so comfortable talking about it and I wasn't the only one with this issue. So I ended up doing all three surgeries; (sling, prolapse, labia). All I can say is she is amazing! I have never appreciated my bladder more and I feel so much more confident after reducing the size of my labia!I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen she is so kind and gentle. More
