Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
A wonderful amenity of Plano is the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. The park covers over 200 acres of land featuring several nature trails for running, biking and bird watching. Mountain biking is particularly popular here because the preserve offers riders a 2.5 mile trail that is constantly maintained by the park employees. It’s also one of the few places bikers can go night riding. It also includes a playground for kids to run and play and restrooms equipped with drinking fountains. The preserve has three unique ecoregions, Upland Forest, Blackland Prairie and Riparian Forest. Since it is a nature preserve, visitors should expect to run into little critters and be mindful of poison ivy and snakes. https://www.plano.gov/facilities
